Ebenezer Outreach Ministries has graciously given us a link to their after care resources for inmates.
Our Mission and VisionIt is our intention to encourage and sustain people in the penal system who are willing to change their lives; those who want to put to death the ‘old man’ and live anew under the blood of Christ. It’s true that most wouldn’t be in the system if they were walking in righteousness. We offer ourselves as servants of God to show these children of the Father an alternative to another prison sentence. Our purpose is to facilitate their walk with Christ while they are in prison.
We have been given a vision of hope for the hopeless, life for the dead in spirit, and love for those who are loveless. We come to you, as a faithful servants, and ask for your prayers and support of this ministry. There is a huge harvest ready to be reaped and Disciples of Christ Outreach to Inmates is ready to or join in the bountiful harvesting of souls! We have all been called to give witness.
Matthew 25:35 for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; 36 I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.’ 37 “Then the righteous will answer Him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You, thirsty and give You drink? 38 When did we see You a stranger and take You in, or naked and clothe You? 39 Or when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?’ 40 And the King will answer and say to them, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.’
What I believe the Lord has given D. O. C. ministry to do? To encourage and support that ‘behavior’ within the walls and I pray earnestly that we do that completely in His will. We offer ourselves as His servants for all those who have never known His love, His joy, and His peace! He will bring them life and more abundantly.
